From Gaza’s Memories to Nashville’s Heart — The Story of Deir Café
Born in Nashville and raised in Gaza, Dr. Yusuf Gumiza grew up dreaming of opening a small café by the sea — a place of warmth, faith, and connection. After years of witnessing the pain and loss that shaped life in Gaza, he returned to the city of his birth to bring that dream to life.
Deir Café is more than a coffee shop — it’s a symbol of resilience and hope. Blending the soul of Palestine with the creativity of Nashville, every cup tells a story of home, healing, and heritage.
